Oversees the daily operations of the organization. Sets short- and long-term goals to ensure the organization is mission-centered and outcome-oriented. Tracks organizational progress and evaluates the completion of established goals. Fully assesses organizational needs and community needs. Creates special interest committees and aligns organizational goals with the work of those committees. Ensures special interest committees geared toward fundraising, community outreach, marketing and youth development. Meets with community leaders and provides guidance about workflow and how individual committees can support the community impact of the organization.

Makeba Reed-Johnson,  MPH, MPA, BSW, VP of Operations

Plans, develops and enforces policies and objectives for the organization to ensure it maintains its values and meets established goals.  Creates public awareness initiatives and ensures the organization is visible to the community and those interested in assisting the foundation, including community events and other programs to create responsiveness to the organization. Served as community advocate; organizes and works with individuals with mental health conditions to speak at public hearings and participate on policy committees that affect them. Coordinates outreach, advocacy and education activities for relevant policy/advocacy issues. Develops clearly defined and measurable performance outcomes for the organization.

Carol Johnson, Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning

Develops and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance brand identity,
broaden awareness of program and increase visibility across key stakeholder audiences. Serves as
primary media contact; Develop and implement PR strategies including media outreach, issuing press
releases, fielding media inquiries and creating and maintaining media lists.Act as “brand ambassador”, ensuring proper and consistent use of naming conventions, brand attributes and logo. Prepares media for publication and maintain digital media library, engagement databases website and e-marketing. Manages website, including: maintain integrity of website content and structure; monitor and report on key metrics from Google analytics; and utilize search engine optimization.
